Lanesboro – Ballyleague Notes
Mixed Luck in Championship
Pride of place this week must go to local lads Stephen Ormsby, Martin Reynolds and Darragh Hussey and their Roscommon team mates who performed so magnificently on Sunday last when winning the Connaught Final. We congratulate them and look forward to them staking a major claim for the All Ireland.
Unfortunately for the Rathcline senior team it was not to be a case of celebration on their part. Having performed heroically against Dromard their efforts just failed. They now go on to play Drumlish in the next round on August Bank Holiday weekend.
On behalf of Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, Attracta and Declan would like to thank sincerely everybody that contributed so generously to their Annual Church Gate Collection over the weekend 10/11th July. A special word of thanks to the collectors that gave of their time over the weekend.

An Iron Man
Good luck to Gareth Johnston who next weekend undertakes an Iron Man triathlon in Geneva. Gareth has been training solidly in preparation and it is a wonderful feat to compete in this particular Iron man triathlon. Gareth is doing the triathlon to raise funds to cancer research and it is a wonderful cause that should be hugely supported.

This year they will be promoting handball more actively within 5 of the camps where we have the facilities to accommodate us.
