Lanesboro Ballyleague Notes

The Green – a living history

In number 4 following the Dee family came Ned and Nora Masterson, Ned a Cavan man and Nora from Longford. In their family was Kitty, Nora, Sean, Michael, Eamon, Jimmy, Margaret, Pat, Gerry, Henry, Teresa and Joe. In number 5 firstly was Sean Conway from Clare and he was followed by Ned and Annie Tynan. Their family was Jimmy, Mickie, Mary, Ned, John and Ann. In number 3 there were three families that I know of; firstly was the Wrafter family – I do not have the names of the parents, their children were Annie, Packie, Tommy, Sean, Connie, twins Masie and Teresa, Breda, Philomena and Mickey. The next name I have for this house is Dowling and I need someone to enlighten me as to the names in this family. Lyn and Elish Gray then moved into no 6 and they had two daughters caroline and Tracy.

As this is the Defibrillator Group’s only source of income each year they would appreciate your continued wonderful support.
